Gili Trawangan is a tropical island getaway nestled amongst palm trees. Gili Trawangan, reputed to be ‘turtle capital of the world’, it is perfectly positioned to watch the sun rise over one volcano "Mount Rinjani" on mainland Lombok and the sun set over another volcano "Bali's majestic Mount Agung".

This charming paradise is one of three coral-fringed islands. As you sail east from Bali into the Lombok Straits, experience a natural habitat change crossing the imaginary ‘Wallace Line”. Here subtropical Asia meets Australasia.

The first island of the Australasian region is Gili Trawangan. Gili Meno and Air are mellow and favoured by honeymooners; on Gili Trawangan join in on the reputable party scene. Ocean front bars and restaurants are scattered around the island- along its west coast however, peace and tranquillity are key.

There are no motor-bikes or cars allowed on the Gilis. Here islanders get about by bicycle or traditional ‘cidomo” (horse and cart). Relax in a hammock or enjoy water adventure – the choice is yours. Diving, snorkelling, water-skiing, wake-boarding, kayaking, surfing, horse-riding, tennis, yoga, massage and beauty treatments are all here.
